I know you are going to tell me to read your mission statement in the "about me" column but I am going to ask anyway...
Why does the world now need a "Save the Victoria Pool Society." The work has been completed and the place is in the best shape it has been in since...well..ever. No more work needs to be done. If you think that getting the pool open on May 26th instead of June 28th is "saving" it your delusional. Do you realize the perception your giving off? All you exist for is to complain about the opening date.
I for one applaude the park agency. It would be dumb, stupid and irresponsible to open one pool sooner then the other. No agency in this world, if they have a brain, is going to open an entire complex to accomodate twenty people during a heatwave that lasts four days. And for the record I know for a fact that the pool did not open on Memorial Day in 2001 because I had my leg operated on that May and I was walking with a cane and I went to the pool somewhere around mid-late June and the older lady that used to work there told me I hadn't missed much that they had only been open a couple of days.
It is no opinion to make that statement. Nitpicking about stupid little meaningless pieces of nonsense like...I don't know new soap dishes does not fall under the category of being in the need to be saved. I think that statement was intended to mean things like the pool itself and the deck and some of the stone work. That is all in fine shape now. But I suppose one could argue with that position. Everyone expects that place to be spotless, heaven forbid there is spec of dirt or a pine needle.

Unless you were in charge and directed what was done, you could have absolutely no basis on which to make such a statement.
