Golfers enjoy the Pool, but no swimmers. The Pool is clean, clear and ready.... and waiting....

No mention of the thunderstorms and poor weather on Sunday, June 22, though... big surprise!

Helen: thank you for making our point clear about the weather. We could not agree more. Since every day is not perfect is exactly why everyone wants the pool open longer from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We have precious few summer days in the North Country.

I can not wait until this pool opens so the STV members can have the time to meet by the pool, have a drink and plan the next VOLUNTEER WORK DAY. Are we planting trees this year? Sweeping the pool deck? Picking up trash? What about the children?? When can we do something productive for the park instead of the current activity? STV Society: What are your goals for the next five years, besides the obvious? You know you have the pull...get it together and organize something magnificent that will actually benefit the park.

Careful "anonymous" all that stuff you mentioned sounds an awful lot like work and according to that last posting STVS does not come to the pool to work. I can give you their goals for the next fifty years...open on Memorial Day...message ended.

Oh and by the way it's only been summer for two days don't count it out yet.

Neither of those first two days of summer were pool weather, but you'll never see that posted with a picture of the pool in a down pour.

On my walk in the park yesterday, I noticed that the Peerless Pool is still under construction...if it doesn't open on time, it looks like you will have more of those lovely little children at the Victoria Pool than ever before. Those walls will echoe with their shouts and laughter, the deck covered in their cannon-ball splashes...maybe there will even be a few day camps each day!

Two words you'd better get used to...

Macro? Polo!
