$15,000 for umbrellas? What are they covered in jewels? Could you break the cost down per unit?

Ben, the very preliminary estimate I was given by Telescope in Granville was for 30-40 umbrellas and bases possibly striped like the vintage ones designed for the pool. They would run for the umbrellas:
8'-10' in size from: $212.50-292.50 per umbrella.
Bases would cost about: $110 for each umbrella.

Ask patrons/businesses to donate the cost for an umbrella and stand. Place small metal tag on the stand with donors name.

Any guarantees on the product from Telescope ? Can it go out for State bid ?

parks does not want names on umbrellas but did mention posting a plaque with names of donors. as for bids, we have no idea how involved parks will get with this project.

Its only taken 8 years for this society to realize that in order to "save" the pool, THEY need to take the initiative for fundraising (especially with the current state of finances in NYS.) Congratulations! I look forward to following your fundraising efforts!

I will volunteer my efforts for the fundraiser! BTW, what are the chances Victoria will open Memorial Day and not the end of June?
